Claim Showdown is a 2-player competitive action game. Grab your trusty shovel and get digging for gold... but keep your trigger finger on your pistol - your rival's up to no good! Oh, and watch out for those pesssky snakes.

A modern reimagining of the retro arcade game Claim Jumper (1982) for the Atari system, it's easy to pick up and play either locally or online with friends.

Features

Fast, skill-based action!

Battle it out in a low-poly western arena - explore the frontier, dig up gold, and gather more cash than your opponent. To secure your progress, exchange your findings for money at the local goldsmith's assay and deposit it in your bank.

Keep an eye out for hazards - Getting caught by a snake or some rogue tumbleweed could spell doom for your deliveries! Tread carefully or turn the tide and use the environment against the other player. Cutting them off with a timely train could be just the window you need to escape pursuit.

Sabotage the other player - hunt down your rival and sneak in a few unexpected blows with your pistol or... actually anything you can get your hands on! Once they're down you've got the perfect opportunity to make a run for their resources before they get back up.

Strategy & variation!

Get your thinking cap on during the shop phase - equipment like hats, boots, and weapons offer different advantages. Are you hedging all your bets on an early lead with that shiny new pistol or are you playing the long game with improved mobility from a new pair of boots?

Experience unique environmental changes - each session offers something new with map variations adding flavor and unexpected obstacles throughout!

Showdown!

Test your skills in an intense shootout - take aim, stay on the move, and fight to determine who wins the round. Put your equipment to good use and take advantage of the limited cover to turn the battle in your favor. The last one standing wins the round and comes closer to victory.

Don't be discouraged if you get knocked down, there's plenty of time to turn it around in a 3 round game!

Tutorial

The start of the round is all about collecting money.

• Find places to dig and some gold might come your way.
• Deliver that gold to the Assay, located in the north, and you'll get some cash for the trouble.
• Make it all the way to your bank in the south and that money will be yours to keep!

When the time runs out you can buy items in the shop with your earnings. Once everyone is ready, the showdown begins to determine the winner of the round.

A controller is recommended to play.

LS | WASD - Move

RT | LMB - Melee attack / shoot, dig, throw (while aiming)

LB/RB | Scroll wheel - Switch weapons
